Loewen has a robust Receiving department and offers the opportunity to cross-train in Glass Receiving, Metal Receiving and General Receiving. All material handling is trained with safety as a top priority, and we believe our training and team focused approach is what allows for the department to run so successfully!

Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm.

In this position, you will:

  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of materials.
  • Assist people in locating their required components.
  • Receive incoming materials.
  • Record and stock management.
  • Ensure materials are delivered to the appropriate location or department, with a focus on quality.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.

    • You will bring:

  • Able to lift 15-25 pounds repeatedly
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize workload and understand urgency
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills (in English)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, and email
  • Able to reach at, above, or below shoulder height
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders throughout the day
  • Comfortable operating powered vehicles
  • Continuous Improvement minded

    • The following will be considered assets:

  • Forklift, Power Jack, Fall Arrest, and Crane certification
  • Experience in AS400
  • Knowledge of Loewen quality standards
