As we continue to build our team in Merritt, BC, we have an opportunity for a Production Worker to join our team. You will work a day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with overtime available as needed based on business demand. We provide on-the-job training in a friendly, team minded environment.

Some of the responsibilities and qualifications for this role include:

General heavy labour work in a precast concrete facility

Focus on maintaining quality workmanship

Crosstrain at various workstations as required based on business need

Follow daily job travelers to ensure orders are complete

Assist with the Total Preventative Maintenance program for the machine

Ensure that safety policies are followed by leading by example

Maintain quality workmanship by following Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards

Assist with tracking data and information in computer system

Physical activities include walking, standing, kneeling, bending, lifting (up to 50lbs), reaching, using arms/hands to operate equipment, visually distinguishing colors

Required to wear a hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection at all times and a respirator (which requires an employee to be clean-shaven) when needed for specific jobs

The ideal candidate will have:

Ability to work well in a team environment

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment

Effective verbal and written communication skills
