Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Manager oversees demand planning, purchasing, inventory control, and supplier relationships to ensure a reliable flow of materials that supports production and customer fulfillment. The role focuses on accurate ERP data, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement to improve inventory turns, quality, and delivery performance.

- Implement and maintain supply chain practices appropriate to Conviron’s business, including: strategic supplier relationships, vendor performance metrics.
- Maintain processes and product data to ensure accurate bills of material and control of standard designs.
- Develop demand plans by monitoring ERP system and maintaining close relationships with Sales, Engineering, Production and Supply Chain departments.
- Drive consistent and effective material and production control processes resulting in improving inventory turns, quality targets, and customer order fulfillment:
- Develop forecasts and purchase plans based on supplier capabilities, lead times and inventory turn goals.
- Initiate and maintain current and accurate material master data for all materials and services.
- Provide suppliers with regular forecasts and develop purchase plans based on supplier capabilities, lead times and inventory turn goals.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with suppliers while meeting price, delivery and quality requirements.
- Ensure continuity of raw material supply to support production and installation schedules while maximizing effectiveness of inventory levels.
- Resolve shortage situations by proactively managing and monitoring inventory levels and demand plans.
- Manage non-conformance reports by working with internal processes and suppliers to ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
- Champion process improvements within department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proven ability to establish strategic sourcing and supplier relationships.
- Ability to understand and coordinate supplier fulfillment issues.
- Solid understanding of effective inventory control practices.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication, and facilitation expertise.
- Proven ability to build and motivate a team.
- Minimum 5 years’ business experience in supply chain planning and/or purchasing experience with at least one manufacturer.
- Experience with ERP planning, ideally Epicor, and ERP procurement transaction processes.
- Previous experience in supporting a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, TPS, and TQM, is essential.
- Knowledge of Conviron, or the design and manufacture of similar products, considered an asset.
- Proven ability to establish strategic sourcing and supplier relationships.
- Ability to understand and coordinate supplier fulfillment issues.
- Solid understanding of effective inventory control practices.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication, and facilitation expertise.
- Proven ability to build and motivate a team.
- Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) designation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development through ongoing education and training.
