Job OverviewReporting to the Vice-President as the Cabinet Assembler you are responsible to assemble cabinets according to specifications. You ensure work is efficiently completed in compliance with standard quality and safety protocols.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assembling and building cabinets according to design specifications.
- Utilizing various power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Ensuring all work is plumb, level, and meets quality standards.
- Collaborating with team members to plan projects and manage timelines.
- Assisting in other areas of production as required.
- Working in an organized and safe manner, adhering to Qualico’s Safety Program and relevant safety regulations. Reporting incidents or near-miss incidents immediately to management.
- Organized; you effectively manage your time while balancing multiple priorities.
- A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation and in written communication.
- An active listener; you seek to understand and listen to others in a non-judgmental way.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a cabinet maker or similar carpentry role.
- Proficient in using power and hand tools relevant to cabinet making.
- Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Certificate in Cabinetry and Woodworking is preferred.
- Creating trusting and successful working relationships.

- Cooperating with team members in an open, positive and respectful manner.
- Staying current with technical job skills.
- Consistently meeting customer expectation.
- Taking responsibility for the outcomes of decisions and actions.
You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
