Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Sewing Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be part of the Cut & Sew team and contribute to the efficiency of our operation.

• Receive upholstery cover materials from the Team Leader to sew materials according to specifications and the Sewing Handbook.
• Receive cut materials and ensure bundles are accurate/correct prior to sewing.
• Communicate missing pieces to Team Leader.
• Check for defects/flaws in the materials and communicate with the Team Leader.
• Sewing Upholstery Cover Materials.
• Complete sewing the bundles when all pieces are correct, according to original product specifications.
• Identifying Completed Pieces.
• Ensure all completed pieces (units) have accurate product information attached.
• Place completed pieces into designated area.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• Previous sewing machine operating experience.
• Attention to detail:
  High precision to follow patterns and maintain quality standards.
• Responsible and safe work habits.
• Be a team player.
• Able to troubleshoot basic machine faults.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Flexible and available for scheduled overtime.
• Understanding different fabrics/leather and their properties.
• Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering: 40 lbs. (18.1 kg) from the floor to waist; 40 lbs (18.1 kg) from waist to shoulder; 25 lbs. (11.3 kg) above the shoulder.
