Special Process Operator

Cleans by hand, solvent bath, or other processes, sub-assemblies, parts and manufactured items. Has knowledge of cleaning agents used, and strips paint and other contaminants from above. Required to use blasting equipment for surface preparation. Carries out electro plating / conversion processes, and chemical processes.

• Knowledge and/or work experience in the areas of poke welding braze shims; braze alloy materials and application; induction brazing; manual hand cleaning of parts; chemical conversion coating of aluminum and titanium.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of WHMIS.
• Ability to work within specified safety requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to meet the visual acuity requirements specified in QSP 12.0 for Special Process Operators (chemical, painter, etc.).
• Must be able to wear a respirator as required.
