Industrial Electrician

The Opportunity

As part of Maple Leaf Foods’ Maintenance team, the Industrial Electrician will maintain and service equipment used for daily production, ensuring safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees. The rate is $46.97/hour with an additional $0.50/hour premium for night shift. Interested team members should apply online by January 27; applications received after this date may not be considered.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install processing equipment; use electrical knowledge to achieve efficient repairs.
• Program and troubleshoot variable‑frequency drives (VFDs).
• Read and understand electrical power and control system wiring and schematics.
• Repair or maintain motor controls, temperature sensors, and safety sensors.
• Work with voltages ranging from 24 V to 575 V (3‑phase).
• Read logic and flow diagrams.
• Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective action.
• Perform regular work orders and track inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program.
• Adhere to all plant food, health, and safety policies.

• Red‑Seal certification.
• Own hand tools.
• Knowledge of plant and equipment operations.
• Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Team‑based work environment readiness.
• Availability for overnight shift and weekend overtime.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
