What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Winnipeg is looking for an Assistant Branch Operations Manager to join their team. A leadership position within the branch network, the Branch Operations Manager provides crucial operational and administrative support to the Branch Management Team and Advisor teams. In addition to managing client account activities and ensuring compliance standards are met, the Branch Operations Manager fulfils a diverse role which includes liaising with internal departments, providing software and process-related training, and managing the branch facilities and equipment.
What will you do?
- Leverage your exceptional leadership and organizational skills to ensure the branch is efficiently and effectively managed.
- Take ownership of the daily administrative operations of the branch including the approval of incoming and outgoing daily transactions, verification of sales requests and approval of account openings.
- Draw on your expertise and strong people skills to train new branch support staff and coordinate ongoing training initiatives for other existing branch staff.
- Become well-versed in all compliance and controls requirements, ensuring requirements are met.
- Harness a strong technical aptitude to enable technology access, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Manage sales support within the branch
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- A professional approach to all situations to create a positive working environment
- Ability to complete duties independently with the resourcefulness to seek out answers and solutions
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures, an asset
- Experience in the securities industry is an asset
