Position Summary

If you know anything about the construction business, you know that getting the right products to the right site on time and safely is the benchmark of success. It is both challenging and rewarding work. We are Team Convoy, we are a distributor of construction materials, we supply roofing, building envelope and below grade materials and we want folks with great people skills on our team because, in the end – people make all the difference.

Responsibilities

Planning, supervision and coordination of receipt, storage, and shipment of product lines

Verification of incoming and outgoing materials

Work closely with applicable departments (sales, purchasing, etc.) to ensure the product is delivered in a timely manner

Responsible for productivity and quality measurements and improvements in the warehouse

Inventory control and order selection

Serving customers when necessary

Coordinate and assist in the development and maintenance of efficient and effective operating administrative processes and safety standards

Assist in warehouse safety, cleanliness, and waste disposal

Drive a forklift in this type of setting is a plus or we will help you get certified

Requirements

Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, shipping and receiving department, or similar environment

Able to lift up to 100 lbs. repeatedly each day

Forklift experience

Good computer skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Must have basic math skills for inventory counts; and English verbal and written skills to be able to read purchase orders and communicate with team members

Be reliable, safe and a team player
