Mentor Program Supervisor

SAGKEENG CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (SCFS) is looking for a FULL‑TIME Supervisor – Mentors. You practice empathy, understanding and patience. You promote a safe therapeutic environment. You will be joining a creative, initiative, and dynamic multi-disciplinary team. You are knowledgeable of SCFS, Sagkeeng First Nation and Indigenous culture. This position reports to SCFS Biidaaziiway Gamik Unit Clinical Director.

• Completed Post-secondary degree in the Social Services with 1 year direct social service experience;
  Combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and fully insured vehicle with $2, liability insurance.

• Lead team meetings and provide regular reflective clinical and administrative supervision to individual team members.
• Work in collaboration with the Cultural Supervisor.
• Assist in creating programming and workshops.
• Provide direction and support to team members in complex and high-risk situations. Ensure that services are provided in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and protocols and in keeping with current evidence-informed and best practices.
• Monitor and manage ongoing work performance of team members, complete annual performance appraisals, and develop individual work plans for team members as warranted to promote optimum performance.
• Participate and contribute as a member of the management.
• Manage waitlists, identify priorities, and assign families to team members.
• Monitor and report relevant service stream data and participate in program evaluation and review as appropriate.
• Respond to and manage concerns and complaints related to their team from employees, families, and community partners.
