Housekeeping Services Casual Winnipeg, MB Starting at $16 CAD per hour

The Manitoba Centennial Centre Corporation (MCCC) is a Manitoba Crown Corporation and a proud supporter of the province’s vibrant arts and culture scene. MCCC directly manages the Centennial Concert Hall, home to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Manitoba Opera, and Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and hosts a wide variety of performances—from international tours and Broadway productions to local shows and dance companies.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Housekeeping Services, this position provides custodial cleaning services across MCCC facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff, patrons, and visitors.

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors; carry out seasonal and special cleaning projects.
• Wash and polish mirrors, windows, doors, walls, fixtures, drinking fountains, furniture, and woodwork.
• Clean and sanitize offices, rooms, classrooms, washrooms, hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and kitchenettes.
• Restock soap, paper towels, and hygiene products in washrooms and kitchen areas.

• Assist with event or banquet setups, including furniture arrangements and special venue cleaning.
• Operate laundry equipment to clean uniforms, wipes, and other assigned materials.
• Use sustainable, environmentally friendly cleaning methods and supplies.

• Vacuum carpeted areas, pick up litter, and maintain public spaces.
• Collect and dispose of garbage and recyclables responsibly.
• Replenish and track janitorial supplies as needed.
• Assist in orienting and training new housekeeping staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to uphold facility cleanliness.

• Cleaning chemicals and eco-friendly products

• Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and operating equipment
• Exposure to cleaning agents, noise, and varying building environments
• Occasional urgent cleaning or setup requests outside regular hours

• Experience or training in janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities cleaning
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Physically capable of repetitive tasks and extended standing periods
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working with and around cleaning agents
