Who is Lexington Real Estate?We are the team that manages and maintains the Real Estate Assets for the Palliser group of companies.
What would you do?Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of our commercial property and assets.
- Responsible for maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems.
- Provide observations about facility equipment, systems conditions and deficiencies; and provide suggestions for enhancement and repair.
- Participate in and assist with facility-related projects.
- Ensure work completed meets quality requirements.
- Possesses a strong environmental, health and safety mindset.
- Effectively interface with tenants, suppliers and contractors.
- Other custodial duties as required. (e.g., Snow removal and grounds litter control)
- Required to work at heights when needed.
- Year‑round outdoor work required.
- Light administrative duties as needed.
- Previous building trades experience preferred.
- Knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes and standards.
- Demonstrated abilities to manage multiple jobs.
- Strong client‑service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.
- Strong organizational skills with ability for multitasking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
- A trade certification or education in a trade or professional designation is of benefit but not required.
- A jack of all trades with skills and attention to detail.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- General working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs.
