Aboutthe Role
The Junior Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials across multiple warehouses. You will play a critical role in forecasting demand, managing inventory levels and maintaining item records to meet customer needs while minimizing costs. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Junior Supply Chain Planner is essential in maintaining the balance between supply and demand, ensuring timely delivery and supporting overall business goals.
SpecificResponsibilities
- Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage global inventories, ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand and production requirements while minimizing costs and overstock situations. - Item Maintenance:
Maintain accurate records of items, purchases, pricing and inventory levels, ensuring that stock is replenished as needed. - Demand Forecasting:
Analyze sales patterns, customer demand, seasonal fluctuations and market trends to ensure optimal stock levels and adjust supply plans accordingly. - Order Management:
Prepare, process and monitor purchase orders according to established guidelines to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other teams to align strategies with business objectives; understand changes to customer demand and products. Work closely with logistics and warehouses on transfers and inbound shipments. - Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, production and warehouse partners.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Managements, Business or related field (or minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role)
- Strong self-management – self-directed with the ability to deal with distraction, repetition, prioritization, and fluctuations in workload and ambiguity
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data, identify trends and make informed decisions based on analysis
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS office applications
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
