Overview
Candidates should have one to three years of experience in several areas of labour and employment law (ideally in both provincial and federal spheres).
Responsibilities- Provide timely guidance on employee discipline and termination, wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, human rights and the duty to accommodate, employment contract drafting and policy development.
- Support labour arbitrations and Manitoba Labour Board applications/hearings, and workplace safety and health matters.
- Advise on privacy issues as they relate to employment law.
- Engage in client development and demonstrate commitment to delivering excellent and responsive legal services.
- Experience working with employers to navigate legal and practical business issues in a timely way.
- One to three years of experience in labour and employment law, ideally across provincial and federal spheres.
