Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure, the Network Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability and security of our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and administering all initiatives for the Payworks campus and data centre networks. Working within a collaborative environment, you will act as a networking subject matter expert within the Infrastructure team and beyond – bringing your advanced expertise in routing, switching and network design to support a secure, high-performing environment that drives our business forward.

  • DESIGN, PLAN AND SUPPORT – IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Design and develop scalable networks – As a key member of the Infrastructure team, you will plan, design and implement complex data center and campus networks to meet current and future business needs. You will contribute to building Payworks’ next-generation network; evaluating and recommending solutions, producing architecture documentation and simplifying design complexity for greater uptime and scalability.
  • Monitor and provide network support – You will oversee the performance, availability and optimization of wired and wireless networks. Leveraging your advanced networking knowledge, you will serve as the escalation point for complex incidents, lead root cause analysis and drive effective resolutions and improvements.
  • Secure and segment the network – Collaborating with our Corporate Security team, you will design and implement secure, compliant network infrastructure. This includes segmentation strategies, firewall configurations and remediation of vulnerabilities that meet best practices.
  • Collaborate and document for success – Working closely with internal teams and vendors, you will ensure our technology solutions align with business goals. You will also document infrastructure, procedures and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency across the team.
  • WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing and supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of and practical experience with BGP, OSPF, routing and switching in complex environments.
  • Proven experience with Palo Alto NGFWs (or similar), as well as enterprise wireless and wired networks.
  • Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure), SD-WAN technologies and Aruba networking systems, Citrix CCP or CCE.
  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VPN and SD-WAN.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network issues under pressure.
