Forma Data Management (formerly Docs) team in Autodesk AEC Construction R&D is seeking a talented and highly motivated Principal Developer to join its development team and work on cloud services and features for its global customers. Forma Data Management is a central part of Autodesk Construction Cloud, enabling collaborative design, build and management features across our software products, construction vendors, and building operators.
You will be part of a dynamic software development team, collaborating with global teams to deliver high quality cloud services that help customers transform to a cloud-powered Autodesk experience.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the architecture evolvement and platform development for Docs cloud services, working with various industry software experts and stakeholders
Be hands-on in the implementation and operation of cloud services, using web-based technologies and best practices
Solve challenging technical problems and provide innovative solutions for SaaS products that integrate with Autodesk's well-known tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
Mentor and coach other developers and share your knowledge and expertise
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of software development experience, preferably in SaaS or cloud-based products
Strong design and coding skills, with emphasis on quality, performance, and maintainability
Proficiency in web-based technologies, such as Java, Node.js, React, Graph
QL, etc.
Has solid understanding of the product development lifecycle
Experience in designing and developing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud services using AWS, or other cloud platforms
Experience in Dev Ops, CI/CD, and cloud operations
Experience in integrating with third-party APIs and services
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with ability to debug complex issues
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a global and diverse team
Master/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $131,500 and $180,840. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Diversity & Belonging
