Theopportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Management, the Network Engineer will design, maintain, and promptly diagnose and resolve network issues for the organization’s cloud and on‑premises digital connectivity systems. This role involves hands‑on and automated configuration and deployment, working closely with multiple teams such as networking, security, and architecture to ensure seamless network access from an operational perspective.
Key responsibilitiesCloud networking:
- Deploying components and configure Cloud Edge.
- Configuring connectivity across private clouds and on‑prem locations.
- Managing DNS and CDN for internal teams.
- Managing Transit Gateways.
- Collaborating with Dev Ops, Architecture, and Info Sec.
On‑premises networking:
- Configuring on‑premises networking.
- Configuring VoIP telephony.
- Configuring VPN access to cloud and other locations.
- Collaborating with Facilities and Service Desk.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 7–12 years total experience in connectivity and networking management.
- 5–8 years of cloud networking experience.
- Cisco certification (CCNA level) is strongly preferred.
- Management of on‑premises networks.
- Management of cloud and on‑premises connectivity.
- Management of networking devices.
- Collaborative configuration of networking and security properties.
- Collaborative automation of networking systems.
- Fundamentals of connectivity and networking.
- Operation on networking systems and hardware.
- Understanding of cloud security.
- Understanding of enterprise monitoring.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be able to travel anywhere in Canada up to 20% of the time.
- A background check, satisfactory to the employer, may be required of the successful applicant prior to commencing employment.
