Reporting to the Director, Cyber Security, the Senior Cyber Security Analyst undertakes or leads the daily administration and maintenance of Bird’s cyber security program, audits, and certifications.

This is a hybrid position that is based out of our Winnipeg Manitoba office. Some on-site meetings and travel may be required.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Oversee the Security Operations function including Incident Response, managing Endpoint Protection tools, SIEM configuration and tuning, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, Cyber Security Training and Awareness, and cloud environments including Azure and M365.

  • Assist in the management and participate in Cyber Security related audits.

  • Participate in the IT Risk Management and Supply Chain Risk Management processes.

  • Identify gaps in the security posture and work with the team to mitigate or remediate them.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to implement security controls, validations, best practices, and enable mechanisms for incident response and data breach detection.

  • Evolve and execute a Training and Awareness program to educate employees and contractors on cyber security matters and procedures.

  • Act as a technical resource to users within the company who are seeking more information about cyber security.

  • Participate in, and act as a technical leader in, periodic information systems risk assessments.

  • Assist with the selection, installation, and adoption of automated tools that enforce or monitor the compliance with information security policies, procedures, standards, and similar cyber security requirements.

  • Assist in the implementation and oversee the maintenance of an ISO
    27001 ISMS and certification.

  • What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and knowledge required

  • One or more of the following certifications would be considered assets:
    Information systems Security Professional (CISSP); ISO
    27001 Auditor or Implementor certification or training.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a member of a Cyber Security team with responsibilities that include Security Operations, Risk Management, or ISO
    27001.

  • Experience in Digital Forensics / Incident Response would be an asset.

  • In-depth understanding of security issues across many different platforms and have the capability to articulate and communicated these issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems including active directory.

  • Required flexibility to work nights, weekends, and/or holiday shifts in the event of an incident response emergency.
