Activate Games continues to grow—and how we attract and hire talent is critical to our success. The Talent Strategy Specialist is a strategic, creative, and data‑driven leader who designs the strategies, tools, and processes that bring exceptional people into our business.

This role combines recruitment marketing, sourcing innovation, talent intelligence, and process optimization to ensure we hire the right talent, in the right place, at the right time. You’ll partner closely with Operations and HR to build scalable hiring practices that elevate candidate quality, speed, and experience.

Responsibilities Recruitment Marketing & Employer Brand
  • Craft compelling recruitment marketing strategies and campaigns across digital, social, and local channels.
  • Build candidate personas and demographic insights to target the right audiences for each role and region.
  • Conduct labour market research and competitive talent analysis to guide recruitment and selection strategies.
  • Elevate our employer brand through authentic storytelling and engaging.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers on department specific needs to target unique business needs or role-specific objectives.
Compliance and System Optimization
  • Develop scalable sourcing strategies for high‑volume and specialized roles across diverse markets.
  • Build proactive talent pools using outbound tactics, partnerships, and community outreach.
  • Design structured, consistent selection tools—interview guides, assessments, scorecards—that improve quality of hire.
  • Partner with Leadership to forecast staffing needs and align sourcing strategies to business demand; ensure requisition workflows are efficient and compliant.
  • Optimize ATS workflows, automation tools, screening logic, and hiring dashboards.
  • Continuously improve hiring processes to reduce time‑to‑fill and enhance the candidate experience.
  • Build recruitment analytics to track funnel performance, demographic insights, and hiring outcomes.
  • Conduct job analysis to ensure roles are clearly defined and aligned with business needs.
Employee Lifecycle and Retention
  • Provide data-informed recommendations for total compensation competitiveness and retention strategies.
  • Analyze workforce trends and turnover data to identify risk areas and recommend solutions.
  • Build recruitment analytics to track funnel performance, demographic insights, and hiring outcomes.
  • Prepare regular reports on onboarding program effectiveness and turnover trends.
  • Partner with HR teams to monitor onboarding effectiveness; support process improvement to encourage early engagement and retention.
  • Conduct follow-up check‑ins with new hires during their introductory period to address concerns and enhance integration.
  • Support key HR initiatives through specialized recruitment and contributions to total rewards, employee engagement, and related projects.
Qualifications
  • Certificate or diploma completed or in progress in HR Management, Marketing, or other related fields.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Word and Excel (Advanced).
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing relationships.
  • Knowledge of trends in the industry including all aspects of legislation.
  • Above average communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Quick learner, creative, self‑motivated, and detail oriented. Highly motivated with the ability to multi‑task and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to travel occasionally within Canada and the U.S. to support recruitment initiatives.
