Position

Summary

The HR Coordinator & Disability Case Administrator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support across HR functions while coordinating disability and leave programs for Standard Aero’s Winnipeg’s operations. This role supports employees and leaders through recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, disability claims coordination, accommodations, and return-to-work processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to support employees with professionalism and empathy.

What

you'll do:
Disability Case Administration
  • Coordinate the end-to-end administration of disability claims, including intake, documentation, tracking, and communication for STD, LTD and MPI.
  • Liaise with employees, managers, HR partners, insurance carriers, representatives, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and well-organized case coordination.
  • Gather required documentation to support claims adjudication and case progression.
  • Assist in coordinating accommodation and return-to-work plans in collaboration with HR, managers, and third-party providers.
  • Maintain consistent, fair, and compassionate support for employees throughout their leave and transition back to work.
  • Provide clear and accurate communication related to leave status, documentation requirements, and next steps.
  • Maintain confidential files and prepare reports on claim status, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor vendor performance and identify opportunities for improving disability and leave workflows.
HR Coordinator
  • Support recruitment activities, including posting job openings and managing candidate communication.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure completion of all onboarding tasks.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS systems and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and processes.
  • Support HR programs, engagement initiatives, and day-to-day administrative processes.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in disability management, HR administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting disability claims, leave administration, or similar HR/benefits processes.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support employees in sensitive situations.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications:
  • Experience working with MPI, and third-party disability insurance carriers is preferred.
