Notes: These hours are dependent on the operational requirements of the organization. Mount Carmel Clinic operates out of multiple locations; you may be required to work in other areas.

Position Summary

The incumbent provides comprehensive HR support to managers across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, selection, hiring, and onboarding. The role supports performance management activities and assists with the preparation of HR documentation related to staffing and employee management, while maintaining respectful and effective communication with union partners, including participation in disciplinary processes. The position also provides managers with payroll-based statistics and workforce data, offers guidance on applicable legislation, collective agreements, and employment contracts, and supports disability case management under the oversight of the HR Director.

Additionally, the role may be responsible for maintaining payroll data accuracy and completing full-cycle bi-weekly payroll processing.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, (or related field with Human Resource Management certificate)
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation preferred
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Demonstrated understanding of oppression, harm-reduction, and culturally grounded healing;
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ human resources experience in a unionized environment
  • Two (2) years of full range benefits management experience required
  • Experience working in community health, preferably with the communities Mount Carmel Clinic serves
  • Experience providing human resources support with an intersectional approach
  • Experience with HRIS / HRMS – implementation of HRIS experience preferred
