Under the general supervision of the MANAGER, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, the ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGIST is responsible for maintaining, modifying and repairing electronic control equipment, facilities security and safety systems, automation equipment, audio‑visual related equipment, clinical electronic systems, performing installation work, assisting with maintaining inventory, and other related duties.
Experience- Five (5) years’ experience as an Electronic Technologist maintaining electronic equipment.
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Graduate of a recognized institute of electronics at a Certified Technologist level.
- Certified as an Electronic Engineering Technologist (CET) by CTTAM.
- Electrical “M” License issued by the province of Manitoba.
- Good understanding and experience with computer‑controlled electronic control systems.
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, configure and program facility control systems: electronic card access, nurse call systems, paging systems, IP‑based surveillance cameras, intercom systems.
- Experience with audiovisual equipment, computers and related peripherals.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Neat and tidy appearance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts as required.
- Physically able to carry and move tools and equipment on ladders and platforms (up to 34 kg).
- Manual dexterity.
