The Assistant Director of Care (ADOC) plays a key leadership role in supporting high-quality resident care, staff performance, and clinical operations during evening hours. This position works closely with the Director of Care to ensure continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and a strong team culture in a long-term care environment.

• Provide clinical and operational leadership during evening shifts
• Support and mentor nursing staff to ensure safe, resident‑centred care
• Oversee staffing levels, scheduling adjustments, and call‑ins
• Act as the on‑site clinical resource for complex resident care issues
• Support care planning, documentation standards, and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, policies, and LTC standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices and resident safety
• Participate in incident management, investigations, and follow‑up as required

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration in Manitoba
• Previous leadership experience in long‑term care or a similar healthcare setting
• Strong clinical knowledge and decision‑making skills
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment
• Knowledge of provincial LTC legislation and standards is an asset
