Pulmonary Technologist - Respiratory Investigation Unit
Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Lab Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for assessing how disease has affected the Cardio-Pulmonary System by conducting various Cardio‑Pulmonary testing procedures.
Experience- 2 years of experience as a Pulmonary Technician or as a Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
- Successful completion of a recognized Pulmonary Technologist training program or an academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT approved equivalent, if internationally educated.
- Registered and in good standing with the Canadian Association of Cardio‑Pulmonary Technologists (CACPT) or will challenge and pass the CACPT examination within 2 years of hire.
- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
- Physical health to meet the requirements of the position and manual dexterity.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
