Fast Track to Partner Senior Manager, R&D - Costing

Our client is one of Canada's leading professional services firms who provide audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services to Canadian and international companies through their exceptional team of Accounting professionals.

As a Senior Manager in the R&D group, you will use your knowledge of cost accounting and accounting information systems to offer outstanding service dealing with Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive claims. You will play an integral role in the costing component of fieldwork engagements as you work with a team of skilled tax professionals, scientists and engineers on multi-functional, cross-office basis representing new and existing clients.

• Establish new business development objectives, while managing existing client mandates
• Examine client products and operations to determine which qualify for income tax incentives, and what appropriate methodology would maximize such incentives.
• Assess SR&ED activities and expenditures within all client R&D projects.
• Prepare all necessary documentation to file an SR&ED claim on behalf of our clients.
• Assist with research and correspondence with the tax authorities to address any review issues.

• CA, CMA or CGA designation
• 5-10 years experience with SR&ED tax claims
• Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in science or engineering an asset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong client focus and orientation towards achievement
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel within Manitoba
