Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone looking to step up into a leadership position over the next 1–2 years.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate financial record‑keeping
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Support the year‑end audit process
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial initiatives

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, or similar)
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• CPA designation or working toward CPA is an asset
