Position OverviewUnder the general supervision of the Manager, Parking Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the mission, values and management philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Parking Attendant is responsible for assisting with the operations of the St. Boniface Hospital parking system.
Responsibilities- Patrol parking lots daily and ensure cleanliness and safety of customers.
- Respond to calls for assistance by casual or contract parkers.
- Visually inspect automated parking equipment and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Notify the Manager or Parking Office of any safety concerns, maintenance required or equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct lot counts and provide suggestions for improvements.
- Cash out parking systems and print credit card summary reports.
- Direct traffic at peak times and redirect casual parkers to available spots when lots are full.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Experience working with the general public in a service‑oriented capacity.
- Grade XII or recognized equivalent.

Qualifications and Skills- Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
- Use of hand tools.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand French would be an asset.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Initiative and self‑direction.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Good telephone manner.
- Mature, professional manner.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
