Product Development-Design Drafter
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized individual to join our team in a technical support and coordination role. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to ensure accurate designs, documentation, and project execution.
The Successful Candidate’s Responsibilities Will Include
Manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting workloads.
Coordinate complex designs from concept through manufacturing, including design meetings, test orders, and communication with the manufacturing facility.
Read and interpret manufacturing drawings with a solid understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
Apply hands‑on knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and related equipment.
Produce accurate and timely drawing packages.
Prepare and issue Bills of Materials (BOMs) both manually and electronically for production.
Prepare quotations within reasonable lead times.
Verify submittal requirements to ensure alignment with BOMs.
Release jobs and create job orders in Syteline.
The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have
Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma, Drafting Diploma, or equivalent education.
Experience in manufacturing or the HVAC industry is an asset.
Customer‑facing experience is an asset.
Strong team‑oriented problem‑solving skills.
Experience working with BOMs is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Experience with Solid Works and Solid Edge for 3D…
