Embedded Systems Design Assistant (4 Month Summer Term) – Antec Controls

We are looking for a student who is technically inclined, who thrives on new challenges, and who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

• Supporting product designers in each stage of the design process
• Supporting the scoping of firmware and software sprints
• Implementing firmware and software changes
• Performing and documenting testing both benchtop and in mockup rooms
• Analyzing and interpreting test results
• Supporting the release of firmware sprints into production

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Enrolled in post-secondary education for Computer or Electrical Engineering or Technologist, Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with software or firmware development
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with an eye for detail
• A co-operative team player attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• An aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
• A high level of critical thinking and accountability
• Experience with C/C++ programming considered an asset
• Experience with hand tools and wiring considered an asset
