Our team consists of certified teachers or those in the process of completing their degree in Education, and we offer competitive wages that are higher than the industry average.

Job Summary
Prep Academy Tutors is currently seeking a daytime tutor Monday to Friday 9:00-2:30pm.
Applicants must have a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Check, and Adult Abuse Check.

• Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Manitoba curriculum.
• Provide supplemental assignments to students to promote greater understanding of material.
• Provide remedial and enrichment support for students.
• Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.

Qualifications And Skills
We are looking for educators who meet the following criteria:

• Committed to providing excellent customer service
• Energetic and enthusiastic teachers with tutoring or teaching experience
• Comfortable tutoring at-risk youth in a correctional facility
• Enjoy working with students and families
• Strong communication skills

Candidate Criteria
A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following:

• Hold a registration in good standing with the Manitoba Teacher's Society
• Qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Manitoba
• Qualified to teach in the United States
• Current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education
• Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College
• More than 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth
