Overview
JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Superintendent provides student-centered, district-level leadership to advance teaching, learning, and organizational effectiveness across the district. This role focuses on developing and leading strategic initiatives, overseeing curriculum and instruction, fostering collaboration, supporting compliance with state and federal requirements, and ensuring all students are career ready, college ready, and life ready.
Qualifications- Valid Ohio administrative license or certificate appropriate for the assignment. Preferred licensure:
Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or Administrative Curriculum, Instructions and Professional Development - Master's degree in Educational Administration, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience preferred
- Leadership experience preferred

- Collaborates with the Superintendent, district administrators, and staff to develop, implement, and monitor district initiatives that improve student outcomes and organizational effectiveness.
- Provides district wide leadership to support the District's mission, strategic goals, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Leads and supports administrators and staff through supervision, coaching, and evaluation, fostering shared leadership and professional growth.
- Supports the alignment of instructional programs, student supports, and career pathways to ensure coherent, accessible opportunities for all students.
- Oversees and supports curriculum and instructional systems to ensure alignment with Ohio Department of Education standards and district expectations.
- Encourages innovation and continuous improvement in instructional practices and program design.
- Leads and coordinates career awareness, career development, and Satellite pathway programming in collaboration with associate districts and community partners.
- Builds strong, collaborative relationships with students, families, staff, business and industry partners, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations.
- Supports district compliance with Ohio Department of Education and federal regulations.
- Assists in monitoring, interpreting, and implementing state regulations, guidance, and accountability requirements.
- Oversees data collection, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and compliance processes, including Comprehensive Local Needs Assessments, stakeholder meetings, CTE
26 applications, and Perkins funding applications. - Uses multiple sources of data to inform decision-making, evaluate programs, and guide district improvement efforts.
Represents the District in professional, community, and interagency settings as assigned.
Salary & ContractPlacement on the Springfield-Clark
CTC Administrative Salary Grid based upon experience and Benefits Package. Contract consists of 260 days per school year.
