Position Description

Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the full-time (1.0 FTE) term position of Grade 4/5 Teacher at Border Valley School, effective March 16, 2026 – June 30, 2026. (

Note:

Teaching responsibilities for this position will also include Grade 1 Music).

Teach and support students in grades 4 and 5, incorporating subject curriculum and ensuring student learning outcomes are met. Provide music instruction to grade 1 students.

• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate.
• Knowledge of High and Low German is an asset.
• Previous experience teaching Grades 4 & 5 core subject curriculum.
• Ability to work alongside teachers and colleagues as a collaborative team member.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check.

Border Valley School is a K‑8 school located in a rural setting, a short 20‑minute drive south of the City of Winkler. The school serves several smaller communities and rural homes, with approximately 100 students, a teaching staff of 13, and a support staff of 11.
