Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-person tutoring company. We deliver flexible and personalized tutoring programs to our students. We specialize in all subject areas and cater to students from age four to twenty. Our team consists of certified teachers or those in the process of completing their degree in Education, and we offer competitive wages that are higher than the industry average.

Job Summary

Prep Academy Tutors is currently seeking a daytime tutor Monday to Friday 9:00-2:30pm.

To be considered applicants must have a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Check and Adult Abuse Check.

• Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge based on the Manitoba curriculum.
• Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote greater understanding of material.
• Provide remedial and enrichment support for students.
• Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for educators who can meet the following criteria:

- Committed to providing excellent customer service

- Energetic and enthusiastic teachers with experience in tutoring or teaching

- Comfortable tutoring at-risk youth in a correctional facility

- Enjoy working with students and families

- Strong communication skills

A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria:

- You hold a registration in good standing with the Manitoba Teacher's Society

- You are qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Manitoba

- You are qualified to teach in the United States

- You are a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education

- You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College

- You have more than 1 year of experience working with at risk youth
