Access Winnipeg West is seeking a Family Physician for a 0.5‑to‑0.6 FTE opportunity located at 280 Booth Drive, attached to Grace Hospital. The clinic offers 20 accessible exam rooms (including a minor procedure space), office space, and many amenities unique to an Access Centre model that help preserve a healthy work/life balance and minimise overhead.
OverviewWe collaborate with community programs such as Community Mental Health, Employment and Income Assistance, Home Care, and our Community Facilitators to connect patients to additional resources. Our partnership with Grace Hospital provides access to laboratory and diagnostic services. The team includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Primary Care Nurses, Primary Care Assistants, Allied Health professionals (psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietitian, pharmacy, midwifery), and learners from various health disciplines.

- Support population health initiatives and act as a community resource.
- Participate in administrative activities including committee work, chart audits, and implementation of audit recommendations.
- Offer obstetrical care, house calls, minor surgical procedures, psychotherapy (e.g., solution‑focused therapy), health promotion, disease prevention, acute and chronic illness intervention, restorative or rehabilitative care, and addictions medicine.
- Develop group practice expertise and facilitate in‑practice referrals.
- Coordinate services within an interdisciplinary team and, when appropriate, transfer duties to primary health nurses.
- Provide clinical practicum for family medicine students, residents, and other health professionals as part of teaching initiatives.
- Facilitate or participate in practice‑based research and contribute to the development of discipline‑specific and multidisciplinary practice standards, protocols, and care paths.
- Ensure accessibility of services through weekend and evening extended office hours, weekend and evening on‑call, and telephone coverage for patients, families, and other health and service providers.
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM).
- CCFP certified or equivalent.
