Overview
Shared Health and the University of Manitoba, Department of Radiology, Section of Nuclear Medicine, invites applications for a dual trained Nuclear Medicine and Radiologist specialty physician located at the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) in Winnipeg, Canada. The main job duties include interpretation of examinations, commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate) and research.
Health Sciences CentreHSC is the largest tertiary health care centre in Manitoba. As an operating division of the Shared Health Authority (WRHA), HSC provides comprehensive diagnostic, outpatient (ambulatory) and inpatient services, including being the designated regional trauma centre, which supports the physical, medical and emotional needs of the people and communities we serve. HSC also provides care for cancer patients with our partner, Cancer Care Manitoba, located on the HSC campus.
DiagnosticServices
HSC provides approximately 250,000 DI services per year, of which ~10,000 are Nuclear Medicine including state of the art SPECT/CT and PET/CT. HSC is also the clinical and research neuroscience centre for the province.
QualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Those possessing only Nuclear Medicine certification, and meeting the other conditions discussed above, may be considered if they offer significant, and beyond routine practice, related academic research and/or clinical expertise.
CompensationCompensation is as per Doctors Manitoba agreement for Nuclear Radiologists /annual).
