Job Description
The University of Manitoba, Department of Otolaryngology‑Head and Neck Surgery, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for a full‑time academic Head and Neck Surgeon to commence on December 1, 2025 (or a mutually agreed date). This GFT position appoints an Assistant Professor in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The role is located primarily at Health Science Centre and Cancer Care Manitoba, with secondary responsibilities iface General Hospital and Victoria General Hospital. The position encompasses inpatient and ambulatory patient care and is expected to support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and tertiary care medicine.
- Provide inpatient and ambulatory patient care, including head and neck surgical oncology and general Otolaryngology‑Head and Neck Surgery service.
- Deliver medical education to undergraduate and postgraduate trainees and to other healthcare providers.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to the academic mission.
- Serve on hospital clinical teams and cover surgical calls as part of the largest tertiary care hospital in the province.
- Specialty qualifications in Otolaryngology‑Head and Neck Surgery and/or General Surgery in the country of current practice.
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba and certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated commitment to education, research and other academic pursuits.
- Advanced degrees or additional skills are beneficial.
- Ability to work collegially within a multidisciplinary team.
