Studio Nevele is a thoughtfully designed creative rental studio in Winnipeg. We host photographers, small brands, and creatives who value beautiful light, elevated aesthetics, and a seamless rental experience.

Role Description

We are hiring a part-time Studio Assistant to support client experience, studio operations, and light content creation. This is an in-studio role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces.

The Studio Assistant is responsible for:

  • Ensuring every client has a smooth, welcoming experience
  • Keeping studio bookings on schedule
  • Maintaining visual and cleanliness standards
  • Supporting management with administrative and marketing tasks
  • Protecting the Studio Nevele brand through consistency and care

You are the in-person face of the studio during your shift.

Key Responsibilities

Client Experience / Front of House

  • Greet renters and provide a brief studio walkthrough
  • Ensure bookings start and end on time
  • Monitor time overages and notify management of up-charges
  • Enforce studio rules professionally and confidently
  • Field general client questions and elevate when needed
  • Reset furniture and props to Studio Nevele standard layout
  • Prepare the studio for upcoming bookings and add‑ons
  • Complete turnovers between rentals
  • Collect and track laundry and linens
  • Report maintenance needs
  • Ensure the studio is photo‑ready at all times

Scheduling & Operational Support

  • Assist with studio logs and reporting
  • Open & prepare studio for bookings
  • Close and secure studio when assigned

Content & Marketing Support (Light)

  • Capture behind‑the‑scenes iPhone content
  • Assist with Instagram story posts when requested
  • Support social media feed planning and simple reel creation
  • Save content to shared folders for future marketing use
Compensation & Schedule
  • Part‑time (up to 20 hours a week)
  • Available evenings and weekends (required)
  • Hourly wage
  • Discounted hourly studio rates (15%)
Ideal Candidate

You are:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Calm under pressure
  • Detail‑oriented
  • Comfortable enforcing policies kindly but firmly
  • Tech‑comfortable (apps, social media, time tracking)
  • Able to work independently
  • Interested in creative industries, photography, or marketing (an asset)
  • Available evenings & weekends throughout the year
