Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to provide on-site construction safety leadership throughout all phases of project execution. This role is field-focused and responsible for ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations, Bayer requirements, and project safety standards.

The Safety Manager serves as the key liaison between contractors, the CS Eng project team, and site leadership, proactively identifying hazards, mitigating risk, and fostering a strong safety culture.

Job Description

  • Oversee contractor safety compliance and field activities
  • Conduct safety orientations, pre-construction reviews, and toolbox talks
  • Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
  • Perform safety inspections, audits, and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) observations
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare safety reports
  • Manage site-level contractor qualification and required permits
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
  • Skills Required

  • At least 1+ years proven experience in construction safety management
  • OSHA 510 Construction Safety Course (required)
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
  • Proficiency with digital auditing tools and mobile devices
  • Ability to work primarily in the field and engage directly with crews
