We’re looking for a Director of Performance Management to power Client Advisory Services (CAS) – a newly launched sales organization focused on growing client relationships across Canada Life.
CAS operates with shadow P&L accountability and partners closely with Finance and Performance Management across our Individual Wealth and Workplace Benefits & Retirement businesses.
This role enables informed decisions for sales leaders across Canada Life’s three major businesses:
Freedom Experience, Investment Planning Counsel Pinnacle Advisors, and the Financial Solutions Centre. You’ll lead teams to lead the development of a reporting ecosystem that delivers executive-level visibility into business performance.
The ecosystem will include reporting on sales and financial performance, operational tracking for sales productivity and client experience, and support for sales compensation and incentive programs. By evolving these capabilities, you’ll create a platform for faster insights and better decisions that drive growth.
What You Will Do
Lead the Performance Management team to deliver performance insights and reporting for CAS.
Work with sales leaders to develop and manage the sales plans for each business.
Build and evolve a reporting ecosystem covering:
Sales and financial performance
Operational tracking for sales productivity and client experience
Risk & Compliance metrics in partnership with risk teams
Own executive-level reporting, including Quarterly Function Reviews (QFR) and support for Quarterly Business Reviews (Q ).
Track, measure, and monitor performance against sales plans and maintain CAS KPIs aligned to growth objectives.
Enhance advisor/agent-level reporting and expand reporting support for Pinnacle and FSC.
Support sales leaders and HR with sales compensation and incentive programs.
Collaborate with CAS leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment around reporting and shared success.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging AI and analytics to improve efficiency and insights.
What You Will Bring
10+ years of experience in sales performance management, analytics, or similar leadership roles in complex organizations.
Strong background in financial analysis and data management, supported by professional experience or relevant certification, is preferred.
Experience creating financial and performance models. Proficiency with data and reporting tools, including managing large data sets and building dashboards in tools like Power BI.
Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and developing talent.
Expertise in turning data into actionable insights that drive business growth.
Experience defining and managing sales targets and KPIs, and tracking performance across large, complex sales organizations.
Understanding of sales operations, including financial reporting, performance metrics, and incentive program design and administration.
A mindset for continuous improvement and innovation, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and find better ways of working.
Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across multiple teams and levels.
Strong communication and influencing skills, able to work effectively with senior leaders, peers, and direct reports.
The base salary for this position is between $128,200 - $178,200 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
