Business Development Manager
Victoria Lifeline has supported safe and independent living in Manitoba for almost 40 years. As a trusted provider of medical alert services, we help older adults and individuals living with chronic conditions live confidently at home and in their communities. Through our partnership with Victoria Hospital Foundation, we are invested in improving access to support through a variety of initiatives including our joint Healthy Community Partnership Grant.
We are entering an exciting phase of strategic growth and are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence across the province. This role combines strategic partnership development, community education, and relationship building with senior living communities across Manitoba. You will lead initiatives that grow our subscriber base, expand referral networks, and position Victoria Lifeline as a trusted leader in aging in place.
Aboutthe Role
Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Development, the Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable subscriber growth across Manitoba.
You will:
- Build relationships with senior living communities
- Develop and expand community referral partnerships
- Deliver engaging educational presentations to older adults
- Represent Victoria Lifeline as a trusted community partner
- Develop and execute a provincial growth strategy focused on senior living and community partnerships
- Identify, cultivate, and close new partnership agreements
- Lead presentations and negotiations with decision-makers
- Track and report on performance metrics and growth targets
- Lead ongoing account management for key partners
- Build and strengthen referral relationships with partner programs and community organizations
- Participate in relevant industry events to expand Victoria Lifeline’s presence
- Deliver engaging educational presentations to older adults, families, and community groups
- Represent Victoria Lifeline at community events, trade shows and expos.
- Position Victoria Lifeline as a trusted resource supporting independence and well-being
- Collaborate with Marketing on targeted outreach campaigns
- Contribute to annual planning and budgeting
- Provide support and education to Partner Programs and Board members as needed
- Post-secondary education in Business or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships
- Demonstrated success closing contracts
- Experience working with community-based services would be an asset
- Experience managing sales cycles
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to attend occasional evening or weekend events
