POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for managing pre- and post–Buy America and pre- and post–Canadian Content compliance, cost audits, and bus costing activities. This role provides guidance and support to the costing team on Buy America processes for both New Flyer (NF) and Motor Coach Industries (MCI). Additionally, the position leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Buy America and Canadian content processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead and assign work to the Buy America/Canadian Content team and manage schedules to meet all compliance deadlines.
- Prepare and manage pre- and post–Buy America and Canadian Content analyses, audits, and certifications.
- Ensure invoice, quote, and documentation requests are completed to support Buy America/Canadian Content and cost audits.
- Maintain and update Buy America and Buy Canadian certificates throughout the year.
- Ensure compliance with FTA and other regulatory guidelines and alignment with New Flyer and MCI processes.
- Support SRCR, price/cost audits, and other costing-related requirements.
- Prepare and provide Bills of Material to the Bid team.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain process documentation related to Buy America and Canadian Content.
- Support year-end inventory counts and assist the costing team with additional duties as required.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Costing Manager or management tea
Requirements
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook;
Oracle experience is an asset. - Quick learner with a high degree of reliability, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials preferable.
