What You Will Do:
- Manageall purchase orders for trailers and equipment, collect deposits for orders andclose purchase orders as completed.
- Review orders to ensure stock trailers and equipment specifications are standardized
- Reviewthe buying cycle for vendors and make recommendations on inventory and costs.
- Manage supplier freight from the branches. Merge and stack trailer orders to minimizecosts and select the proper carrier.
- Plan andforecast trailer sales and inventory requirements for each branch location
- Tracksales activity from the sales team and support when needed
- Researchnew product opportunities for new suppliers or trailer models
- Reviewinventory categories for gaps and opportunities. Collaborate with sales team to ensureinventory requirements are met and develop an action plan for obsolete oroversold stock
- Manageall trailer and equipment information in Sales Force.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma, GED or other high school equivalence certificate
- 3 yearsof experience or equivalent education in heavy equipment purchasing demand planning, inventory or supply chain management preferred
- Previous experience in equipment or trailers sales preferred
- Previous experience with ERP systems an asset.
- Previous experience with Salesforce an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and abilityto learn in-house systems.
