Red Seal Automotive Technician

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You are currently registered as an apprentice in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Key abilities and responsibilities for a successful candidate:

• Engine repair, drivetrain/4wd/2wd repair, electrical and electronic system diagnostics and repair, performing alignments, steering and suspension diagnostic and repair, brake system diagnostic and repair, fuel and emission system diagnostics and repair, ignition and electrical system diagnostic and repair, automatic/manual transmission diagnostic and repair, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system and MOPIA. Road test motor vehicles (with valid class 5 license required)
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Ensuring proper procedures are being followed by the other mechanics in the shop.
• MPI Safety Certificate
• The willingness to take on apprentices for on-the-job training.
• MOPIA and A/C Certification - Preferred
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools
