Position Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Commercial Services, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operations within the Commercial department, including

  • Parking Operations.
  • Rental Operations.
  • Cashier/Reception functions, receiving and depositing funds received in Commercial.
  • Communicating with clients either in person, by telephone or email in a friendly professional and timely manner.
  • Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in a computerized financial department, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Previous experience with parking operations, rental tenancy agreements and reception required.
  • Experience dealing with the public in a friendly and pleasant manner required.
  • Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Business/Accounting diploma from a recognized business college.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • SPECIAL TRAINING:

  • Knowledge of a Parking Access and Revenue Control System, preferably TIBA Smartpark, and the Residential Tenancy Branch would be an asset.
  • Certification/Licensure/Registration

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Typing minimum 45-50 wpm, demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook);
    General Ledger systems required.
  • Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to deal with stressful situations arising from day-to-day responsibilities in meeting critical deadlines.
  • Arranges parking and tenancy rentals with staff.
  • Ability to communicate with the public who may be difficult to deal with.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions, lack of isolation in work area and use of computer terminals.
