The Provincial Assessment Program Unit is responsible for the collection of early and middle years assessment data, for the development, administration and processing of Grade 12 provincial tests, and for the administration of national and international assessments in Manitoba.
DutiesThe position provides a wide variety of clerical management and coordination services for projects related to the Provincial Assessment Program. The incumbent will be responsible for complex administrative work regarding the implementation and coordination of provincial assessment and unit priorities.
Qualifications- Working experience with projects, financial expenditures, analyzing historical data and projected requirements.
- Experience developing and/or maintaining paper and electronic filing systems.
- Working knowledge of records and data management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage details related to numerous tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English and French.
- Strong written communication skills to draft correspondence and documents in a clear and concise manner, in English and French.
- Extensive experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), including Access.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships, to work independently, and to work as part of a team.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be able to communicate fluently (verbal and written) in English and French
