Job Profile

The City of Winnipeg is currently accepting applications for Summer Student Clerical/Administrative Support positions to build an eligibility list for future vacancies. Most positions will be required for the period of May through August, with an earliest start date of April 15th and a latest release date of September 15th. All applicants must be available to start work on short notice and intend to return to school at the end of the season.

Responsibilities
  • Providing general office work, administrative support in an area such as customer service, accounting, finance, and data analysis.
Qualifications
  • Completed High School Grade 12/G.E.D. or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience using computer and business software, including Microsoft Office, Word (basic), Excel, and Outlook. Testing will be scheduled with applicants as needed.
  • Keyboarding skills – many positions require 20‑40 words per minute. Testing will be scheduled with applicants as needed.
  • Experience working in an office including excellent communication and customer service skills, dedicated to meeting customer needs and expectations.
  • IMPORTANT: Applicants who have been educated outside of Canada must have education comparable to the minimum qualification in Canada. Applicants submitting foreign credentials require an official academic assessment report issued by a recognized Canadian assessment service ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) at application.
