Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with a growing Winnipeg construction firm in the search for an Accounting Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to gain additional experience with full-cycle accounting as part of a larger accounting team.

Responsibilities
  • Data entry, including coding, verifying against contracts, identifying, and reconciling discrepancies
  • Credit card statements reconciliation for all corporate cards
  • Accounts Payable management, including credit applications, account setup, and all communications with Vendors
  • Accounts Receivable management, including Customer billings and payment collection
  • Issuing of payments and refunds
  • Working closely with the Controller and Project Coordinator, to keep Project budgets accurate and up to date
  • Overseeing tracking sheets and programs for various systems. Setup, updating, and maintenance as required
  • All Accounting department filing, electronic and hard copy
  • Provide direct support to the Controller on special projects, completing tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced accounting or bookkeeping role
  • A mix of experience and post-secondary education may be considered
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a strong ability to multi-task
  • High level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting

Please note this is a full-time permanent Monday-Friday role. Office hours are 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
