Our Finance headquarters are located in Winnipeg, Canada where the accounting function is performed centrally for our facilities in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Generating over $4.0 billion in sales, the successful candidate will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build the unique knowledge and expertise of one of the world’s largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Perform professional accounting work in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and reporting requirements.

Maintain general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.

Preparation of monthly journal entries.

Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

Participate in interim and year-end audit activities providing support and guidance as required.

Assist in the preparation of various internal and external reporting requirements including quarterly working papers and financial statement disclosure.

Interact with and advise various functional groups and remote locations.

Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department.

Position Requirements:

Strong attention to detail with interest in process improvement.

Ability to work independently - multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines.

Strong communication and analytical skills.

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices.

Proficiency in MS Office with a strong understanding of Excel.

Preferred Characteristics:

5+ years of related accounting in manufacturing or similar operational environment, supporting complex financial processes and reporting requirements is an asset.

Experience with public company reporting requirements is an asset.

Holds (or is actively pursuing) a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered.

Working knowledge of Oracle an asset.
