We are a well-established, PCMH Certified, pediatric practice in Winnetka, IL. seeking a qualified, compassionate individual who is a team player and enjoys working with children to fill a Registered Nurse position. Rotating Saturdays are mandatory and we are looking for someone to work 32 hours per week.

• Provides assessment of patients in the office and administers direct patient care as ordered by the provider.
• Manages and documents incoming patient telephone calls and assesses the need for patient appointments or delivers home care advice and management per printed triage guidelines or under the direction of a provider.
• Provides patient/parent education on diagnoses and treatment, as per provider orders. Prepares and administers immunizations or other medications per office protocol and provider orders.
• Assists in scheduling diagnostic procedures and referrals to specialists, per provider orders.
• Monitors the completion of ordered diagnostic tests and routes results accordingly.
• Assists in communicating results to patients/parents and coordinates any necessary follow up.
• Reviews incoming faxes and forms as well as specialist, hospital and emergency room reports and routes to the appropriate providers for their review. Assists in any follow up as indicated by the provider.
• Coordinates the ordering and administration of medications for specific patient populations.
• Performs office lab tests as ordered by a provider and remains proficient in the completion of tests.
• Performs and supports Pedia Trust Core Values and digital health workflows and initiatives.

• Knowledge of Epic or other EMR systems preferred
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and plan daily responsibilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy
• One year of nursing experience preferred
