Overview
North Shore Country Day School seeks an immediate short-term leave Lower School STEM Integrator for the remainder of the school year. We are hoping to have this position begin as soon as February 9th. North Shore Country Day, a progressive, academically rigorous, co-ed, JK-12 independent school in suburban Chicago.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver STEM educational activities for students that integrate learning technologies, science, math, and engineering.
- Use the latest scientific findings, tools, and data to inform and enrich students experience.
- Coordinate the development, delivery and implementation of STEM curriculum, initiatives, events, and projects with faculty, the curriculum team, and school leadership.
- Provide opportunities for students to demonstrate mastery through projects, academic challenges, and community showcases.
- Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education with a focus in one of the STEM disciplines required;
Master’s degree in a STEM discipline, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.
- Proven classroom experience using innovative technology, including but not limited to Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Robotics, 3D printing, and Coding.
- Demonstrated passion as an educator who employs current advances in education and can show demonstrated success with this pedagogy
- Familiarity with ISTE standards for both students and teachers
- Experience using iPads in education, Apple iWork tools, and Google Suite for Education.

Compensation:
This leave position will be compensated at $195 per day. We anticipate the leave will cover 77 days of school approximately.
